Your Questions, Answered
What should I do in a dental emergency?
If you’ve injured your mouth or teeth, call right away. The sooner you see our Phoenix emergency dentist, the easier it is to treat the issue and protect your smile.
What if I knock out or chip a tooth?
Try to keep the tooth moist. If possible, gently place it back in the socket without touching the root. If not, keep it in milk or tucked between your gums and cheek until you can get to us. Use a cold compress to reduce swelling.
How can I ease a toothache?
Rinse your mouth with warm saltwater and gently floss to remove debris. Avoid putting medication directly on your gums. Apply a warm compress and call our office so we can treat the cause, not just the pain.
What if something sharp is stuck in my gums?
Use dental floss carefully, but never use sharp tools to pry it out — this can cause more damage. If you can’t remove it safely, come see us and we’ll take care of it.
My pain went away. Do I still need to see the dentist?
Yes. Pain that comes and goes is often a sign of an underlying issue. Even if it eases up, it’s important to see our emergency dentist in Phoenix before the problem gets worse.
How much will an emergency dental visit cost?
It depends on the treatment needed to relieve your pain. We’ll always be upfront about costs and discuss your options so there are no surprises.
